I was reminded today of mine, something I sorely regret not being prepared to capture on camera: a motorcycle (3 wheels, 2 in back) pulling a trailer that was carrying a casket.
What’s yours?

these things are pretty wierd
kinda have a love hate thing with them as i kinda want one but ive never seen one that wasnt being ridden by an absolute asshat...
(also with the speeds they can get upto they arent exactly safe on bike paths.... but far too low and small to be safe on the road)

Those legs tho....

Yeah, that’s why I posted it. A girl in shorts riding a bike was weird because I was in Iran at the time.
The bus is unrelated

That’s why I caught it.
Actually it was the bike’s almost flat back tire that first caught my attention, then my eyes traveled upward....

Growing up my mother was president of the International Human Powered Vehicle Association , so I was exposed to all sorts of oddities. My favorite was a massive tricycle that had pontoons used for water crossings, but I also helped out a tiny bit with a world record attempt (failed) for human-powered flight.

Forgot to point out the trike was so large it had two riders, side by side. Wish I had a photo somewhere.

That’s certainly one way to describe it. It had a Ford four cylinder engine but I don’t think that’s much of a help. I was going to ask about it but I never found out who it belonged to. T he welds were all really nice so I’m suspecting it was a shop guy at the trucking company I used to work for.

Not my photo, but basically this, without the ears or that back foot. Pulling out of my subdivision too - but I’ve only seen it once.

Ugh, sorry for the double pics. Stupid Kinja. These were probably the weirdest things I saw on the road or at autocross throughout the year.

It’s not all
that weird, but for the first time I saw an Alfa 4C in traffic. I’ve seen them at the local Alfa/Maserati dealership and I even sat in one there
(what a pain in the ass to get in and out of) but never in traffic until yesterday, when a black one glided
up in my rear-view mirror. I actually maneuvered in my lane
to let it
past,
so I could gaze upon
it from other angles.
Even without the Euro arachnid
eyes, w
hat a ridiculously
gorgeous
thing it is on the road. It’s definitely one of those cars that looks good in photos and
much better in person. Now
on my lottery-winner-purchases
short list!

Weirdest? Depends on your definition of weird! We have a lot of JDM imports in Canada, though less so here in Nova Scotia which is far from the West Coast...that being said, little kei trucks are always awesome and fun to see, but look very odd on our roads!
For weird, weird though? One of those ugly 80's retro-sports car things, i.e. a Zimmer:
For North America weird? A Skoda Yeti on German plates
hauling a Eurospec
-caravan! Much want...well, for the Yeti
! :D
For “THAT’S AWESOME!” weird? How about a lifted Bugeye Subaru Impreza! :D
Or how about two Citroen 2CVs with Ontario plates here in Nova Scotia in a row? I seriously hope they’d driven them here because that would be amazing and they would have balls of steel!
Then there was always “How in the hell does this still exist in this condition?!?!?” weird...i.e. a MINT Pontiac Acadian/T1000/1000 clone of the Chevy Chevette:

This one is still there, 6 months later. I chopped off a wee bit but this road is so underutilized I don’t think anyone cares.
This is what another stretch of that road looked like that day.

I keep telling a coworker of mine who bikes to work almost all year round that he needs some thing like this. Or like an electric-assist recumbent bike.

If you ever do find a photo of it, let me know. I’m really curious to know what it looked like.

Oof. That poor cactus. I’ve heard it’s illegal to dig those things up. Is that true?

The storm that knocked her over was insane. Wind gusts of 75 mph. I was in my backyard when she fell, and it shook the ground a bit.
You need a permit from the AZ Dept. of Agriculture to remove any saguaro that wasn’t propagated by a human. Most of our native plants are endemic to the Sonoran Desert, so you need a permit before you move quiteba few of them.
